It’s spring- time to do some spring cleaning!

I know you are busy. You barely have time to sit down and read this article. But since you are, I’ll give you something worth reading.

First, stop and smell the roses. It’s smells like spring! Now close your eyes and repeat this mantra “a clean closet is a happy closet is a happy girl”. Grab a trash bag and rid yourself of all your old pieces that you know you will never wear again (shoes included!). Don’t kid yourself when you go through the rack. You are NOT going to wear that studded jean jacket again. Well unless you go to an 80’s party… and in that case…. 80’s style is coming back anyway…. so…well ok… keep the jacket… but get rid of that other thing you’ll never wear again.

You can sell them on Ebay (yes, people will buy it). You can sell them on Craigslist (people sell everything on Craigslist). Not only will you feel great about yourself to donating to a good cause, but you can rest assured that the world is a better place now that more people are rocking your style.

Another fun idea is to gather your girlfriends and have them clean their closets as well. Get all your trash bags together and add in some wine and cheese. Have a girls night and a fashion show. Try on your old clothes for each other and laugh yourselves silly. If you like one of your friend’s fashions, offer a trade. Really creative girls can find a project in anything. Take an old sweater and use the material for something sexy. A needle and thread and some imagination is all you need.

Now, look at all that space in your closet! Rearrange things by color or season. Make your closet your dream instead of your nightmare. We all have those nights where we grab clothes and throw them everywhere because we can’t decide what to wear only to shove them back in wherever they’ll fit the next day. This time, you’ll find what you want to wear, you’ll know whats it your closet, you are going to see things you didn’t remember you even had. A woman’s closet is her temple. Keep it that way.
